Wednesday, January 25, 2012. This is the first of what will be many postings this year. I am finally getting my life back and that means more time for gardening. December-April is typically a great time to plant trees and shrubs in the western hemisphere in places like California, Nevada, Arizona, and places where the ground is not frozen. I have had a lot of success in these cases because the roots, for most part, are at rest. This minimizes root stress for new plantings. Get out there and enjoy! I will.
